Why I started saying these to myself 👆🏼

Needing to hear things like this is a result of unresolved trauma.

That’s not a bad thing! Just good to notice so you can start to heal through it.

I didn’t want to rely on others’ words to feel good about myself, so I started saying the things I needed to hear to myself.

I started with verbally speaking, then writing letters to myself.

Journaling is what changed everything for me, as you may know by now.

I so badly want you to try it. It is profound.

Grab a journal or a piece of paper and write down all the things you wish others would say to you.

Then find a mirror and say these things to yourself.

It may be uncomfortable at first, but it also may be liberating.

You don’t need anything from anyone else.

You only need you. ♥️

I may do something wild in 2024…

I think I’m going to commit to 365 days of journaling. 😱

You are welcome to join me! I’ll be using the Inhale Journal, Exhale Journal, and 90 day planner (which has journal prompts, too!) but you can use any journal. 🙌🏼✨

What does your button say about you?

1 - Have zero fear - You want to take action to change your life, but don’t quite know how. You watch other people chasing their dreams, and wish you could too.
What to try:
-Do one small, scary thing each day to prove to yourself you will be okay. Your tolerance and courage will grow. Small steps forward are big steps.

2 - Always feel happy - You may be in a slump you feel you just can’t get out of. You’re tired of feeling heavy.
What to try:
-Becoming your own best friend and biggest cheerleader is hard. But you can start by letting your emotions speak. Grab your journal and write from their perspective. Get it OUT.

3 - Immediately master any skill - You are someone who loves to grow and learn, but don’t feel like you have the time to study up on something to get really good at it really fast.
What to try:
-If you commit to 17 minutes per day at learning a new skill, you will have studied over 100 hours at the end of a year. You have that time, I promise.

4 - Have the ability to travel anywhere instantly - You are someone who may not know how to slow down and be present. Always thinking of the future will make your life fly by without ever really living.
What to try:
-Practice mindfulness every day for 30 days. Let it become a habit. Where you are is perfect.

5 - Be able to read minds - You are naturally intuitive but may not realize it. You may be someone who is worried about what others think.
What to try:
-Learn to trust yourself. Meditate daily with the intention of listening. Prayer is asking, meditation is listening.

6 - Instantly cure any ailment/injury within yourself - You may be unhappy with where your physical self is right now.
What to try:
-Slow down and start getting really in tune with your body. Prioritize your emotional well being, and learn to process emotions. Trapped emotions break down the body rapidly.

FORGET YOUR GOALS!!!

Let’s say you want to start a business in 2024. Instead of that being your goal, think of WHO you need to BECOME to reach that goal.

Maybe that means confidence, knowing who you are, no longer caring about what people think about you.

Focus on THOSE things, and the rest will happen. ✨

So far today, I’ve only had intentional time with myself, but I’m almost at 100oz of water, and I’ll spend some time outside!

I most definitely did not get up when my alarm went off……. Does anyone, really? 😜
