A simple activity, so much learning! 🍝✨

Watching a child carefully place penne pasta into a small jar is a beautiful example of concentration, fine motor coordination, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving in action.

Those tiny adjustments, repeated attempts, and moments of persistence are all part of the learning process. In Montessori, we give children the time and space to explore, practice, and work toward mastery at their own pace.

Movement Is Part of the Learning 🌿

In Montessori, movement and learning go hand in hand.

These two children sorted pictures of different shapes—but instead of sitting by the rug, they moved from one room to another to find, carry, and sort each picture into its corresponding group.

✨ Walking with purpose
✨ Observing and remembering
✨ Classifying and sorting
✨ Engaging the whole body in the learning process

When we give children opportunities to move intentionally, we support concentration, coordination, independence, and deeper learning.

The classroom becomes not just a place where children learn—but a place where their whole body participates in learning.

I am a part of the universe. We begin the year by exploring where we belong within the vast universe we live in. As we journey from the universe to our planet, our country, our community, and finally our home, children discover their place in the world and learn something as meaningful and personal as their own address.
