Suwannee Middle FFA

Last Friday our chapter participated in the Suwannee High Homecoming parade. We had our chapter float and our FFA Sweethearts. Although the rain kinda hindered our set up time and we all got SOAKED. We made the best of the situation, enjoyed the cool down and when the clouds cleared we got to work!
Thank you to those that helped put this float together, donated your time and candy!

Our 7th and 8th grade Ag students worked together to build a 8x4 ft garden table with two levels. Many students were able to have hand on with some tools for the first time. The best part is listening to our students help to teach and encourage other students. This table will help with housing seedling tray for future plants that are grown. Thank you to The W.B. Howland Company for the donation of the wood and hardware cloth! Your donation is very much appreciated with help our Ag students learn some hands on lessons!

We have beautiful plants for sale. The large and miniature Orchids are in many different colors. And three 3 different foliage plants and a few different colors of the miniature Kalanchoe to chose from. If you’re interested please reach out to Mrs. Skinner and we can arrange pick up at school or delivery if local.

September 1st & 2nd our Chapter President and Vice-President attended Chapter Presidents Conference. Here they learned how to be creative on building leadership activities for members in our chapter and their leadership skills by stepping out of their boxes!

This is their largest fundraiser of the year. The proceeds will support all three FFA chapters, Suwannee Middle, Junior and High in all chapter endeavors.

This Saturday, September 12, will be a Clean-Up day at Don Boyette Land Lab starting at 8 am to prepare for Fall Round-up. Bring tools to help with this if you have them (w**d eaters, pressure washer, loppers, ladders, hammers, cordless drills). Once we are clean we will start set-up of stage, tables and chairs.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Good afternoon, Suwannee FFA Alumni and Supporters!

As you all know, we are only about ten days away from our biggest event of the season: Fall Round-Up! Round-Up is our largest fundraising event of the entire year, providing critical financial support that directly funds our chapter's endeavors, leadership trips, competitions, and student opportunities throughout the school year. To make this year’s event an overwhelming success, we need your help!
We are actively looking for enthusiastic parents and members to help us spread the word in our community.

We need volunteers who can hit the pavement to:

• Distribute invitations to local businesses and community leaders.

• Collect item donations for our auction.

Showcase Your Skills with Shop Projects! Member-built shop projects and handmade items are always huge crowd favorites and bring in fantastic bids at the auction. If you or your student have a talent for woodworking, metalwork, crafting, or building, we strongly encourage you to show off your skills and support our chapter with a donation!

Your dedication and involvement are what make our FFA chapter so strong. Thank you for stepping up, supporting our FFA members, and helping us make this Fall Round-Up the best one yet!
