The 2026 Regional Peanut Field Day🥜

This educational event will provide growers, industry professionals, and agricultural stakeholders with the latest information on peanut production, beginning with a peanut market outlook and industry update.

Participants will then tour research plots featuring current UF/IFAS studies on fungicide programs for leaf spot control, disease management, nematicide efficacy, and peanut variety performance in North Florida.

The day also includes opportunities to visit with agricultural vendors, enjoy lunch, and attend an optional Core Training session. Whether you're looking to improve production practices or stay informed on the latest peanut research, this field day offers valuable, research-based information for the upcoming season.

Corn harvest is in full swing here in the Suwannee Valley!

Today’s corn harvest was at an on-farm trial for the 4Rs principals using our Miller Highboy sprayer and y-drops. With this equipment we are able to apply the 4Rs by:

🌽 Right Source - Matching fertilizer to crop need
🌽 Right Rate - Applying only what the plant can use
🌽 Right Time - Making nutrients available when the crop needs it
🌽 Right Place - Placing nutrients at the root zone for optimal uptake

Today, we honor and say thank you to Joel Love as he begins his well-deserved retirement. While we officially celebrated his incredible milestone with a retirement party earlier this month, today marks the true conclusion of his steadfast career.

Throughout his career, Joel has been fiercely dedicated to the advancement of agriculture and the success of local farmers right here in the Suwannee Valley. He has shared his expertise generously, solved problems tirelessly, and stood alongside our producers every step of the way.

His deep knowledge, unwavering dedication, and passion for helping our agricultural community leave a lasting legacy that won't soon be forgotten. Congrats on the next adventure!
