✨ Meet Yingying! ✨

We are so excited to welcome Yingying Sun to Oak Meadows’s Beginners team as an Assistant Teacher!

Yingying brings a unique background in early childhood education, child psychology, law, and advertising. After moving to the United States, she followed her passion for working with children and is excited to continue learning more about Montessori education at Oak Meadow.

Outside of school, Yingying loves fishing, swimming, camping, traveling, and exploring new cultures.

We are so happy to have her in our Beginners community! 💛🌿

Last Thursday, Oak Meadow had the joy of welcoming educators from three fellow Montessori schools for a day of learning, connection, and collaboration. ✨

We were grateful to learn together with Elizabeth Slade during her presentation, From Engagement to Rigor, and to spend th day sharing ideas, reflecting on our practice, and growing alongside our greater Montessori community.

There’s something pretty special about bringing Montessorians together. 🤍

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻!

I'm excited to relaunch Firefly Enrichment, starting this fall with a hands-on afterschool STEM program at Oak Meadow Montessori School.

We're kicking things off with the 𝗘𝗴𝗴 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲! Learners will 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻, 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱, 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 their own contraptions to protect an egg from a ceiling-height drop.

Building, experimenting, problem-solving—and, most importantly, FUN!

Celebrating a very special milestone for our Head of School, Dr. Bridget Barrett-Parker! 🎓✨

Bridget recently completed her doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania, successfully defending her dissertation, Called to the Work: Professional Identity, Collective Effervescence, and Thriving in Montessori Schools.

This accomplishment feels so fitting for someone who brings so much heart, energy, and passion to Montessori education. Bridget is always looking for ways to help our school community grow and thrive.

We are beyond proud of her and so grateful for the leadership and heart she brings to Oak Meadow every day. 💛

🎶 Summer evenings are better at Oak Meadow. ☀️💚

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the first Concert Series of the summer! Between live music, delicious food trucks, and a beautiful summer evening, it was a wonderful way to spend a Wednesday night.
