Just a sampling of creativity and sensory play!

Some days at camp look like art. Some days look like science. Some days look like a child quietly sketching outdoors while another is elbow-deep in handmade cardboard pulp.

This week, campers experimented with unfamiliar materials, tested ideas, collaborated with friends, and discovered that creativity is about asking questions, trying things out, and seeing what happens next.

From sensory habitats and cardboard clay making to large-scale collaborative artwork, observation drawing, and imaginative world-building, every project invited campers to think like artists: to explore, problem-solve, adapt, and create.

And we’re just getting started.

✨ Summer Camp is underway, but there’s still room to join us at both our Littleton and Arvada studios. If your child loves making, exploring, imagining, and experimenting, we’d love to see them this summer.

Day one of camp looked like stretchy slime creatures with googly eyes, invented contraptions made from cardboard and corks, sensory exploration, flower studies turned into handmade sculptures, and dozens of tiny creative decisions made all day long.

Not every moment looked “finished” because the goal isn’t perfection. It’s experimentation, problem solving, curiosity, collaboration, persistence, and learning to think creatively through materials.

One child might spend an hour engineering a structure. Another might mix colors, test textures, or turn slime into a character with a whole backstory. Different processes. Same kind of thinking.

That’s what happens in the studio all summer long.

artSPARK Arvada is officially 1! 2026 is a special year for us as artSPARK turns 10 and our Arvada studio is 1! We’ve loved joining the community in Arvada and can’t wait to celebrate many more years!
