🛴🚶‍♀️ Walk & Wheel TOMORROW 5/8/26!

🚲 Let’s Get Moving 👟 Friday May 8th!

Help make our neighborhood healthier, safer, and more connected by joining Walk & Wheel Week – Spring 2026!
Students (with parental support) in grades K–8 are encouraged to get to school each day by walking, biking, scooting, or rolling.

📅 When:
Friday, May 8
Morning only; however, students are encouraged to walk/wheel home after school but no aid stations will be open.

📍How It Works:
Students walk/wheel to school, stopping at the entrance to your respective school to enter to win a RAFFLE prize!

💡 Why It Matters:
Walk & Wheel Week helps:
✅ Promote healthy habits
✅ Ease traffic around school
✅ Boost kids’ confidence and independence
✅ Bring our community together

Let’s get moving and make this fun and active — together!

We hope you enjoyed the snow day! Unfortunately we haven't been able to celebrate Walk and Wheel this week. We have true Colorado weather.

Samantha and Jane have done a great job planning what would have been a fun week for the kids. We're looking to reschedule with the last few weeks of the school year. We will keep the community posted.

🚨 Walk & Wheel Week Update – Volunteers Needed! 🚨

📅 When:
Tuesday, May 5 - Friday, May 8
Mornings only; however, students are encouraged to walk/wheel home after school but no aid stations will be open.

Walk & Wheel Week is almost here, and we’re so excited to see our students out moving! 🚶‍♀️🚲🛴

However—we need your help.
These aid stations are what make the event fun and engaging for students, and without volunteers, we simply can’t run them.

🙏 If you’re available for even a short shift, please consider signing up. Your time makes a direct impact on whether this event can happen as planned.

🌦️ Weather Reminder
The current forecast shows cold temperatures with possible rain and snow.

Please use your best judgment when deciding whether your student participates each day. Safety always comes first.

⚠️ Safety Note
By choosing to participate in Walk & Wheel Week, families acknowledge that:

Conditions may vary (weather, sidewalks, roads, etc.)

The PTA is not responsible for any injuries related to walking, biking, scooting, or rolling to and from school

We encourage all participants to dress appropriately, use proper safety gear (helmets, etc.), and plan routes carefully.

💚 With enough volunteers and a focus on safety, we can still make this a fun and memorable week for our kids. Thank you for helping make it possible!

It’s staff appreciation week at both campuses!

Here’s how you can show a staff member or teacher some love this week:

💐Wednesday 5/6 is flower 💐day at both campuses. Bring in some flowers to deliver to staff members. Volunteers will be at both buildings to help students

✍️ any day this week: encourage your student to write a handwritten letter to any staff member thanking them 💌
Let’s celebrate our staff and show them some love ❤️
