🌻 Honoring Madison with Sunflowers 🌻

Today marks the 5th anniversary of the passing of Kate Cleveland’s beloved daughter, Madison. Though I never had the privilege of knowing Madison personally, I know from Kate that she was a radiant soul who brought joy and light to those around her. She loved sunflowers—bright, bold, and always reaching toward the sun.

On this day, we honor her memory and stand with Kate in love and support. I invite friends, family, and colleagues to join me in posting a sunflower 🌻 in Madison’s honor, using , as a symbol of the beauty she brought into the world and the light she continues to shine in our hearts.

Kate, our thoughts are with you today and always. May the sunflowers remind us all of Madison’s enduring spirit and the love that never fades. 💛🌻

You guessed right! We had fun learning and working together as a group by acting out the prompts on the screen for the other groups to guess. This demonstrated two of our core values at Innovation Learning: We Thrive on Innovation and Learning is Fun!

It's been a week of music at Platte River! We worked together to create a fun music instrument and learned a ton! This demonstrated three core values at Innovation Learning: We Promote Well-Being, Learning Is Fun and We Thrive on Innovation!

Lots of innovative fun and learning at Youngsville! We worked together to build roller-coasters out of drinking straws. This demonstrated two of our core values at Innovation Learning: We Thrive on Innovation and Learning is Fun!

Fun Fitness at Gavin was packed with learning and growth opportunities! We focused on physical and mental group activities with the "BOKS Crawl." This demonstrated two of our core values at Innovation Learning: We Value Community and We Promote Well-Being!

One of our core values is that we thrive on innovation. Our students at Westfield Elementary took this to heart as they practiced critically thinking. Students were given tasks to engineer their own creations using physics and gravity. We loved seeing students thinking in innovative ways to create one of a kind creations that met the expectations.

Our students at Bromley East Charter School learned how important community is by building trust with one another. Student leaders lead blindfolded students through various tasks. Kids loved this activity and our community is improving through each activity.

How do we show that well-being is important and learning is fun? We teach our students that fun can be mixed in with activities that improve our well-being like when we start our day off with Cosmic Yoga. Cosmic Yoga teaches us how to improve our strength and balance while improving our behavior and mood. Some other fun benefits are students learn empathy and improve focus skills. All of these benefits wrapped into fun!

Our students at Westfield Elementary showcased their innovative skills while they worked on building community. It takes team effort to create board games together! They had so much fun creating and visualizing how their final game will turn out. Next week they will try out the game. Students were so creative and we can't wait to see how much fun they have playing their finished game next week.

Back to school = building community! Today our Braeside students built community by playing a game called "Someone Like Me". Through this game students discover their common interests. When we build upon our commonalities we are able to make new friends and create a strong bond!
