I'm so excited to continue to serve the students and families of Southern Gables!

30 Hour Famine is today! We will get together to fast and learn about poverty in the United States. It is a great night of games, serving, and learning about poverty. Here are the details.

Start fasting at 7 am today
You can drink juice, Gatorade, and tons of water!
Meet at the church at 5:30pm.
Bring a sleeping bag, clothes for Saturday, and toiletries.
Saturday we should be done by 1:45.

Tonight we have our end of the summer BBQ! Meet at SGC at 5:30 and then we will head over to Bear Creek Lake Park to hangout at the swim beach. We will arrive back at SGC by 8:30 tonight. Bring $5, a swimsuit, and come ready for a great way to end the summer!!

We had such an amazing week this week at Camp Barnabas! These students were stretched far beyond their limits and were forced to rely on God to get them through. I'm so proud of all of them and their accomplishments. You all did such a great job this week. It's good to be home.

Hey Ascent! The camping trip starts tomorrow, WOOT WOOT!
Be at the church at 10:30.
Do not forget to bring a dish, utensil, water bottle, and travel mug! I'll be bringing this Tupperware. It's a bowl, it's a container, the lid is a plate!
Also if you have a tent please bring it!

We are going camping this Friday! Meet at the church at 10:30 a.m. We will arrive back at the church after second service on Sunday.
Please register on CCB
Please bring the following:
-Water Bottle
-Warm Sleeping Bag
-Sleeping Pad
-Pillow
-Toiletries (bug spray/sunscreen)
-Towel
-A dish and utensil. You will use your dish for all your food, so I would bring a bowl/spoon/fork. We will provide wash rags and dish soap to wash your dish and utensil.
-A blanket for star gazing.
-A small game or ball.
-Bible/Pen
-Warm Clothing
-Hiking Shoes
-Fishing equipment if you would like to fish. If you're over 16 you need a fish license. You can get this at Walmart.
-Camp Chair (if you have one)
-Snacks

Great week up at Rock N Raft with Edge!

Rock N Raft is so awesome! Yesterday we climbed around on the adventure park, went for a hike, and fed some chipmunks! Today we will go rock climbing/repelling and rafting. The students are pumped for the day and I would ask you all to join us in prayer as we adventure through our last full day together.

Today we welcome the freshman into Ascent! It was a great morning!
