The meaning of life is to love God and love others.
How do you follow His plan?

I asked AI, "what is love, and how do we prove it?"
I think it is safe to say that every human being believes in love. It is also safe to say that many human beings do not believe in God. And I'm gonna argue here, that if you truly believe in love, then you must also believe in God. The Bible tells us that God is love, and the definition of love below also explains who God is; so I say to you, if you don't believe that God exists, then I'm asking you to prove to me how love exists.

what is love and how do we prove it

Love is a complex, multifaceted human experience that acts as a powerful, positive emotion and a deep, often subconscious, drive to form lasting bonds. It is characterized by intimacy, passion, and commitment, involving a mix of neurochemical processes—such as dopamine and oxytocin release—and deliberate actions, including care, sacrifice, and trust.
How We Define Love
Scientific View: Love is a neurochemical state, often acting as a survival mechanism that drives us to pair-bond. It involves intense brain activity—particularly in the reward centers—similar to addiction or high-stakes stress.
Psychological View: Psychologists often break love down into components, such as Robert Sternberg's, which include intimacy (closeness), passion (attraction), and commitment (deciding to maintain that love).
Actionable View: Love is not merely a feeling, but a choice, action, and commitment, shown through kindness, empathy, and consistency, according to the YWCA Northwestern Illinois.
Greek Perspectives: The ancient Greeks identified several types of love, including Eros (passionate), Philia (friendship), Storge (familial), and Agape (unconditional/universal).

How We "Prove" Love
Because love is internal, it is proven through external, observable actions, often categorized into 5 Love Languages.

Consistency and Showing Up: True love is demonstrated by being present during both good and challenging times.
Sacrifice and Care: Prioritizing another’s well-being, practicing empathy, and providing support.
Trust and Safety: Fostering a secure environment where both individuals feel comfortable and safe.
Active Effort: Maintaining a "we" while respecting individuality, as outlined in the PsychAlive article on "True Love".

Key Indicators of "Real" Love
Mutual Respect: Valuing each other's opinions, boundaries, and autonomy.
Active Communication: Expressing needs and feelings openly, as noted on One Love Foundation.
Growth and Flexibility: Allowing the relationship and individuals to evolve rather than demanding a fixed, unrealistic ideal.

Someone told me that I should share the gospel with at least one person today, but you see the problem is I'm not leaving my house the rest of the day, so here I am on social media sharing the good news of Christ - your Lord and Savior ❤️

In the Old Testament God delivers the Israelites from slavery by bringing 10 plagues against the Egyptians. Pharoah repeatedly refused to set them free even after being warned what would happen if they didn't "set His people free SO THEY COULD WORSHIP HIM" (we often overlook that 'uppercase' part). Pharoah was warned before the tenth plague, the death of all firstborn in Egypt, just as he had been before all the others, but he refused to release the slaves, to sacrifice the wealth they brought him and his country, and to chance the Hebrew people joining with their enemies to overpower them. So the destroyer was sent over Egypt, killing all firstborn of people and animals in Egypt.

But God saved the firstborn of the Hebrews, and do you know how? With the blood of the lamb (sound familiar?). God had Moses instruct the Hebrew people to kill a lamb and put some of the blood on the door posts of their homes so the destroyer would passover their homes and spare their firstborn children. They were also instructed to eat the lamb meat and prepare for their Exodus from Egypt; this is why Passover is celebrated in Judaism to this day.

Forward to centuries later when the Israelites are living safely in the promise land, yet still choosing to rebel against the will of God and practice evil against one another. God warns them again and again, "Why will you die Israel? Repent and live!"
But they continue to go against God and to forsake Him while giving their hearts and their worship to false gods 💔💔💔

Forward now to centuries after that, when God sent His Son to deliver the world from sin and to save us back into eternal relationship with Him; righteousness restored through the blood of the lamb and eternal life given in Christ's resurrection ❤️❤️❤️

Like Pharoah and the Israelites we have a choice - to die, or to repent and live ✝️

The Work is finished, the blood of Mercy forever offered. But turning our hearts to Jesus is not an easy choice, the work is complete, but a choice remains - repent and live, or continue in unrepentant hatred of God's Good Will and die.

The Christian life is beyond difficult, it's downright impossible...but for God!!! Jesus tells us that no one is good, only God. To be saved means to understand this, pick up our cross and follow the goodness of Christ Jesus each and every day. This is not easy and we will have troubles in this life. But when our hearts are turned towards our merciful Savior, we will fear no evil knowing He is God.

So, know He loves you so much He offered the blood of His Son - the Lamb of God - to cover you and deliver you from the evil in your heart and bring you safely back into the eternal promise land, the Kingdom of Heaven.

In Jesus's Mighty Name. Amen 🙏

Prayer isn’t a waste of time; it’s an acknowledgment that no one on earth is more powerful than God.

When we pray, we magnify the work of Jesus.

When we pray, we are set free from our own limitations as we look to a limitless God.

When we pray, we leave the prison of anxiety and worry.

When we pray, we allow the Holy Spirit to align our hearts with the Father’s.

During Holy Week, before He went to the cross, Jesus walked into the temple and reminded anyone who would listen that God’s people are a people of prayer, that prayer is available to everyone, and that we each have the honor of coming before the God of the universe to talk to Him.

“He was teaching them: ‘Is it not written, My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations?’” (Mark 11:17a).

We may have a lot of differences — ethnicities and cultures, upbringings and life experiences — but prayer is a gift available to all of us, no matter who we are or where we come from. It has the power to bring us all together as we bring our requests to God.

Prayer is not only about talking but listening, believing, and trusting. It’s about adoring, resting, and enjoying God’s presence. Through prayer, we pour out our hearts, anxieties, needs, and affections — and we receive God’s grace, peace, and purpose. We receive His gift of unity.

This Holy Week, let us remember we have the gift of prayer at our disposal always.

What does your current rhythm of prayer look like? What prayer rhythms would you like to begin incorporating into your daily life?

This is actually blasphemous, especially during Holy Week 💔
