This reminded me that we’re all Healing ❤️‍🩹 from something. In fact, that person… the one who hurt you… is also likely wounded and in need of healing. You know that sayin— Hurt People, hurt people— it’s unfortunately true.

The tough thing about healing is it requires a lot from us —it requires us to know we’re hurt (awareness), look at the hurt (self-reflection), feel the hurt (grieve/mourn) and move through the hurt with conscious action (inspired energy/effort). Sadly, not everyone has it in them to venture down this path and instead continue to recklessly hurt themselves and others.

As you’re healing “from life” wherever it stems from, I hope you surround yourself with real love❤️ , more light💫 , and find what your mind, body and spirit need in healthy activities💪🏻. Guided meditation, long walks followed by Pilates, meaningful music and penning my thought are my daily go-to’s.

Without a go-to it will be hard to get out of the darkness… so if you do nothing wise today, do this: Choose something, anything healthy that helps you breathe easier. If I could, I’d hug you from here 🙂 and remind you that you’re going to get the other side of hurt?and it’s beautiful there! Sending lots of love out today, because we all know the world certainly needs it✨

When this popped into my feed, a flood of thoughts surfaced that I felt compelled to share. BTW it’s not like me to post my own words, as I’ve tended to leave “the inspiring” to others like Les Brown below, by simply reposting existing quotes, sharing others’ stories and videos by poets, authors and artists. But as I heal my own I’m finding that I may have something worth sharing, and if it helps you or anyone through a confusing, dark or difficult time that’s worth the time. So you’ll be seeing more from me, when the time is right ♥️. The quote below inspired these thoughts which seemed worth penning ✍️|

Surface level living has been hard to break out of —for me anyway— especially when childhood wounds are on replay, resulting in a tendency to engage in the same old relationship patterns (usually the ones we used as a kid, which now play out unhealthily in our current adult relationships). It takes a lot —of pain, awareness, energy, humility, courage, and self-compassion— to start the “reparenting” that we all probably need if we want to let go of unhealthy relationship patterns that we rely on for basic emotional (and sometimes physical) survival. If we don’t do the work to reparent ourselves —or put another way remap/rewire our brain— we’re going to continue the same ol’ song and dance, finding more of the same type of people coming in and out of our life, hurting us the way we were hurt earlier in life, coping the only way we learned how, and simply repeating old patterns. It’s an arduous process to create internal shifts but trust me it’s possible and more importantly it’s peaceful. So take the chances and the time to find & you’ll experience so much ✨ If you’re interested in learning more about reparenting, say so. I might know someone 😉 who could help.
