Our little artists had so much fun exploring a new way to paint this week! 🎨✨

Using tea bags, our 1-year-olds created beautiful masterpieces while strengthening their fine motor skills, exploring new textures, and expressing their creativity. Watching their curiosity and excitement shine through each brushstroke was the best part! 💛

🦈🎶 Baby Shark! 🦈🎶

Our Seahorses (15-24 months) had so much fun exploring how music can move at different speeds! We sang and danced along to special fast and slow versions of “Baby Shark,” using our whole bodies to match the beat.

Through this playful experience, the children practiced whole-body control, listening skills, and rhythm awareness while learning to notice the difference between slow rhythms and fast sounds. These early experiences with sound and rhythm help build important foundations for language development and communication skills. 💙🦈🎵

Inquiry sparks imagination!

This week, our classrooms are exploring "What is a home?" It was wonderful to hear the children share what home means to them while practicing language skills, communication, listening, and expressing their thoughts and feelings.

🔨🏗️ Hard hat on… it’s time to build! 🏗️🔨

We have a resident construction kiddo who is ALWAYS ready to get to work—and he recently upgraded his hard hat with a little Denver Broncos pride! 🧡💙

This week's big project? Building a MONSTER TRUCK! 🚙💨 From planning and creating to problem-solving and using those little hands to bring his ideas to life, our classroom centers are full of opportunities for creativity, imagination, and learning through play.

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
