I have had several people ask me about a night time offering of OSFM Driver Operator Classes in Nash County. I have sent dates to NCC for 2024 class offerings. Once approved we will post dates. I have proposed EVD, Driver Operator Pumps (3 classes-Intro/Basic, Pump Hydraulics/Water Supply, Pump Maintenance/Testing/Sprinkler and Standpipes, and Aerials.

This is over 200 hours of Driver training.

All course marerials comes from the IFSTA 3rd Edition Puml and Aerial Handbook.

If you are planning to attend any or all i recommend you purchase the text book.

Dates will be posted as soon as approved by NCC Staff.

Due to the potential of inclement weather this weekend, we have made the hard decision to postpone the Down and Dirty Weekend School. We are sorry for any inconvenience to anyone but we will reschedule at a later date. We look forward to seeing you then. The LACK Class tomorrow night from 6pm until 10pm is still scheduled as planned.

Due to overwhelming response we are asking if you see this post to contact Mike Clements 252-678-4732 for registration forms or contact us through Direct Messenger on this page to give us a head count from your department. 1403 and proper OSFM paperwork will be required to take place in the burn portion, however we will do smoke training with victim to be removed if you do not have 1403. So, we have something for everyone. Please help this post get circulated. Thank you all for the support. We look forward to some down and dirty training.

Ok spread the word. We will have our 1st Down and Dirty Fire School. We need people to attend to get this off the ground. Share to your knuckle draggin, pipe hittin firefighters. This will be a weekend of hands on ending with a live fire evolution. Hosted by Enfield Volunteer Fire Department at their burn facility, we invite our friends from Nash and Edgecombe Counties.
