What a great first week of Band Camp! I'm incredibly proud of how hard our students and student leaders have worked all week. There's still plenty to accomplish, but the progress they've made already has been outstanding.
Now it's time for a well-earned weekend to rest and recharge before we're back at it on Monday for Week 2!

Marching Band season has officially begun at Littlestown! We have a group of over 60 performers who were eager to get to work on the first day of band camp today… And a visit from some band parents (and band parent alumni!) last Thursday to get our students fitted for uniforms! Excited for a fun and competitive season!

Join us tomorrow for the final concert of the year! Our Music Honor Society ceremony will begin at 6:00, immediately followed by the recital of solos and duets from some of our honor society members.

Then (approximately 7:00) we will have performances by the LHS Chamber Choir and the LHS Jazz Band.

Don’t miss it! It’s that last chance to see some of our WONDERFUL senior musicians grace the LHS stage! 🥲

Day 3 of the Music Trip was another busy day! We started the day with a guided tour of Lexington and Concord where we learned about Paul Revere’s Ride, saw the Lexington Battle Green, and glimpsed where “the shot heard round the world” rang out to start the American Revolutionary War.

After that we made our way to Salem, MA for lunch and visit to the Salem Witch Museum.

Finally, after dinner we headed to the Boston Symphony Hall to watch the Boston Philharmonic perform Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 conducted by Benjamin Zander. What a beautiful hall and what an incredible performance!

Day 2 of our Music Trip is in the books and boy was it a long and busy one! We spent the day seeing all that Boston has to offer with a bus and walking tour of the Freedom Trail! Paul Revere’s House and the USS Constitution were among the highlights. Then we got lunch at Quincy Market before heading to the New England Aquarium.

Finally we headed to Boston Harbor for a Dinner and Dance DJ cruise! The food was delicious and the dancing and views from the water were incredible!

Day 1 of our Music Trip to Boston is in the books! Most of the day was spent on the bus but we ended our day with a group dinner at the hotel before leaving for downtown Boston. On the way we drove around the Harvard campus (and a few other universities) and ended our night by seeing the Broadway Tour of The Outsiders musical at Citizens Opera House. What a phenomenal show with some incredible performances and effects!
