This is our sermon for today. But if you don't like snakes, you're most likely on the wrong page anyway!

Too many people weaponize the Bible as an excuse to kill snakes.

A serpent appears in Genesis, but that does not make every living snake evil, dangerous, or deserving of death.

Snakes are animals, not symbols. They do not represent Satan, sin, or moral failure when they are crossing a road, resting beneath a porch, or living in the woods behind your home.

They are simply native wildlife trying to survive in the habitat we continue to alter.

Respecting snakes does not mean taking foolish risks. Give every unidentified snake space

But fear is not the same as danger, and danger is not the same as justification for killing.

If faith leads us to value creation, it should lead us away from cruelty and misinformation. The answer to an unwanted snake encounter is not hatred dressed up as righteousness.

That's all they really want anyway!

Leave snakes alone! They provide a valuable service and we need them! You don't have to like snakes, but you don't have to hurt them either.🐍

Our big girl "Sylvie" just shed and trashed her enclosure, and somehow her face & head was all dirty too. Cleaning that off with one hand was like trying to hold on to a two year old kid who had ice cream all over their face!! She was doing her best impersonation of a Tasmanian Devil, and she was not impressed with me, but she looks better now!! All's well that ends well... 😅

Check out these new nitrile gloves that I picked up from Randolph Auto Supply! They are fairly heavy duty, they fit well and work great. Pretty comfortable to wear also! I love the packaging as well, of couse! 🐍
