We're excited to share that the Little Rock School District will participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2026–2027 school year! 🎉

That means:
🥣 FREE breakfast for ALL students at every LRSD school—no application or eligibility requirements!
🍽️ FREE lunch for students at most LRSD schools, with the exception of Forest Park, Jefferson, and Roberts.

Nutritious meals help students stay energized, focused, and ready to learn every day. We're proud to continue serving our students and supporting their success—one tray at a time! ❤️💙

Summer may be in full swing, but our Child Nutrition team is hard at work preparing for an amazing new school year! 💚 From planning nutritious menus to getting our kitchens ready, we're excited to welcome students back soon.

For 80 years, the National School Lunch act has helped ensure students have access to nutritious meals that support learning, growth, and success. Signed into law 80 years ago, this landmark legislation established the National School Lunch Program and laid the foundation for generations of child nutrition professionals to make a difference every day.

As we celebrate this milestone, the Institute of Child Nutrition is proud to work alongside the School Nutrition Association and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in advancing the future of school nutrition. Together, we honor the legacy of those who built these programs and those dedicated professionals who continue to nourish students across the country.

Here's to 80 years of serving students, and to work ahead to the work ahead to ensure children have access to healthy, appealing school meals.
