On Sept. 24, UA Little Rock will hold the inaugural Workforce Summit where leaders from education, industry, government, and workforce organizations will gather to focus on strengthening partnerships and finding new ways to meet Central Arkansas’ evolving workforce needs.

The Summit is expected to draw nearly 200 attendees to share ideas and strategies for preparing and retaining the talent Central Arkansas needs while examining how stronger connections between education and industry can contribute to the region’s economic growth.

Among the summit’s highlights will be an executive and legislative workforce panel moderated by Hunter Field, editor of Arkansas Business. Panelists will include Dr. Ken Warden, commissioner of the Arkansas Division of Higher Education; Jack Thomas, senior vice president of economic development for the Little Rock Regional Chamber; state Rep. Mary Bentley; and Pulaski County Justice of the Peace Steven Person.

Join us on Thursday, September 24th for the inaugural UA Little Rock Workforce Summit!

This event will convene industry leaders, employers and educators to explore current and emerging workforce needs across Central Arkansas and the state.

Through breakout sessions, panel discussions, and a nationally recognized keynote speaker, we’ll shed light on best practices for developing talent pipelines to ensure employers have access to a skilled workforce while creating meaningful educational and career pathways for students and working professionals.

Together, we’ll explore how stronger partnerships and shared strategies can help build the workforce Arkansas needs for the future.
