Today was the first annual UAMS PA volleyball tournament to raise money towards the AR Children’s Food Bank!

It was an extra special day for our 1st years who completed their first OSCE, our 2nd years who completed their first EOR exam, and our 3rd years are inching closer and closer to graduation!

So special to bring all three cohorts (and professors!) together to mingle and show off their volleyball skills!

The KRT Fellowship of PA Students is hosting a Volleyball Tournament on Friday, July 24 with all three classes! Gather your team of 4 for a little friendly competition and a great time—all while supporting our heroes against hunger 5k!! DM us for any questions!

Clinical rotations are the hands on training portion of PA school. Meet your ARAPA student of the month, Caroline Coplin, PA-S2!

Caroline is a second-year PA student at UAMS from North Little Rock, Arkansas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Duke University, with minors in chemistry and Spanish literature. Prior to PA school, she gained clinical experience in several roles, including serving as an EMT/Lead with Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services, working as a cell saver technician at the Little Rock VA, and serving as a pharmacy technician at Harps Food Stores in Cabot, Arkansas.

Outside of medicine, Caroline enjoys writing. During the last school break, she added 60 pages to a fiction piece she has been working on.

Last year, Caroline was selected as an NHSC Scholar. Through this scholarship program, Caroline is committed to serving as a primary care PA in a rural or underserved community upon graduation from PA school. She is excited for the opportunity and looks forward to making an impact in the community she will serve.

Congratulations to the UAMS PA Class of 2026 on their commencement ceremony! This moment marks not only an incredible milestone but also reflects all the sacrifices, dedication and hard work the past two years have entailed. In just a few short months, you’ll take the final steps to officially becoming practicing Physician Assistants. The best is yet to come!
