Meet your ARAPA student of the month, Caroline Coplin, PA-S2!
Caroline is a second-year PA student at UAMS from North Little Rock, Arkansas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Duke University, with minors in chemistry and Spanish literature. Prior to PA school, she gained clinical experience in several roles, including serving as an EMT/Lead with Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services, working as a cell saver technician at the Little Rock VA, and serving as a pharmacy technician at Harps Food Stores in Cabot, Arkansas.
Outside of medicine, Caroline enjoys writing. During the last school break, she added 60 pages to a fiction piece she has been working on.
Last year, Caroline was selected as an NHSC Scholar. Through this scholarship program, Caroline is committed to serving as a primary care PA in a rural or underserved community upon graduation from PA school. She is excited for the opportunity and looks forward to making an impact in the community she will serve.

with the class of 2028 starting monday, the class of 2027 has been busy! they spent some time with learning healthy recipes, and then had OR protocol practice. they have also been enjoying the new turf volleyball court and had the opportunity to show it off to the chancellor. we can’t wait to get the new class on campus!! 🥗🧑🍳👩🍳🏐😷

This week our first year students had the amazing opportunity to go on a tour of the Arkansas Food Bank and learn all they do to feed Arkansas! We can’t wait to help them feed more families with the Heroes against Hunger 5k in October! ❤️💛🤎💚🧡

ROTATION REVEAL DAY!!
Today the Class of 2027 found out their first 5 rotations! Finals for spring start Friday and then they are one semester away from clinical rotations! We are so proud of them! 🥼🩺🏥⚕️

Meet your March Student of the month, Claire! She is a first-year PA student from Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where she majored in Exercise Science and minored in Substance Use Disorders. Before beginning PA school, Claire gained clinical experience working as a Patient Care Technician at the Razorback Student-Athlete Clinic and with UAMS Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. She is certified as a medical assistant. She also completed an internship with the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership, where she gained firsthand exposure to the unique challenges of rural medicine.
Claire currently serves as Secretary for the UAMS PA Class of
2027. Outside of PA School, Claire enjoys cheering on the Razorbacks, exercising, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She is unsure of what specialty she would like to pursue, but has special interests in rural primary care, ENT, and orthopedics.
