Day Two - ACE at University of Arkansas at Monticello. Logging operation simulators, animal science farm tour, and forestry studies and measurements. Another full day.

First day for Ag-tech Career Exploration (ACE) in Monticello. Ask the students what they learned about-UA Monticello unique degree programs in forestry and wildlife management, drone uses, wildlife tracking, data analysis, 4-H programming, duck flight patterns, new forestry health building, resume and cover letter writing. It was a FULL day.

The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture (UADA) Ag-tech Career Exploration (ACE) program had an incredible visit to Northwest Arkansas! Students explored the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville Food Science department through hands-on tours of rice research, flavor chemistry, food nutrition, food engineering, and sensory labs—gaining insight into the science behind the foods we eat. The group also started their State O-Rama presentations and wrapped up the experience with a visit to the historic Walton’s 5 and 10 in Bentonville.

Part of our team recently presented at the National Association of Extension Program & Staff Development Professionals (NAEPSDP) annual conference!

The team shared the Reignite: Overcoming Burnout and Restoring Balance workshop, helping professionals explore ways to renew energy and maintain balance in their work and life.

They also presented Experiential Learning for Impact: Undergraduate Internship Program, highlighting how hands-on learning opportunities are shaping the next generation of Extension professionals.
