I enjoy the fact that there are unlimited resources and learning opportunities and sharing this grueling journey with like minded individuals! Ended up some of the best people

Originally from Monterrey, Mexico 🇲🇽 and currently a PGY-3 Family Medicine resident at UAMS.

🇺🇸 What I love about Arkansas:
The weather, being surrounded by nature 🌲, and honestly—the people.

🩺 What I love about Family Medicine:
The full scope of practice. I love how much we get to learn as family medicine residents and getting to work with (and learn from) residents in other specialties

I’m from Po***ck, Louisiana, and I’m a PGY-3 Psychiatry resident at UAMS.

🇺🇸 Favorite thing about Arkansas:
I love Arkansas because the outdoors remind me of home, while still having the convenience of the city and an amazing training program.

🩺 What you enjoy most about residency:
In addition to learning how to be a psychiatrist, I love that residency allows me to explore my other interests in medicine (like academics and administration) as I continue to shape my future career goals.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, completed pediatrics residency in NYC and now a PGY4 fellow in pediatric emergency medicine!

🇺🇸 What is your favorite thing about Arkansas?
As the natural state we have plenty of beautiful scenery and outdoorsy things to do. Coming from NYC this has been a welcome change!

🩺 What is one thing you enjoy the most about Residency/ Fellowship?
The people here are amongst the kindest salt of the earth people I’ve ever encountered. Everyone is supportive of big ideas and changing things for the better.
