SHERWOOD, ARKANSAS

Officials are reportedly accepting donations of stray cats and dogs to help provide companionship for the legendary “Sherwood Alligator,” affectionately known as Happy, a roughly 12-foot-long swamp cutie weighing close to 1,000 pounds.

Residents say Happy has become lonely in recent months, though nearby workers admitted the alligator tends to be “extremely intense” when meeting new animal companions.

A spokesperson added, “If you do not want Happy to have friends, then you truly do not care about animals.”

Officials also asked residents to “please stop asking where the last friends went.”
