‼️Heads up Roberts families! New traffic changes starting tomorrow!‼️
You should have received both an email and text last week but read below for Dr. Coulter’s announcement:

“Good evening, Roberts Families!

I want to make you aware of an upcoming traffic change near our school. This Sunday, the City of Little Rock will be installing two new stop signs at the intersection of LaMarche and Forest Road. The City will also be removing the No Left Turn sign on Forest Road.

What does this mean for you?
If you are coming from Cantrell on LaMarche: You will need to come to a complete stop before continuing on LaMarche or turning right. This will be the biggest change for many people.

If you are coming from Taylor Loop or traveling north on LaMarche: You will need to come to a complete stop before continuing toward Cantrell.

If you are approaching LaMarche on Forest Road: You will need to come to a complete stop before turning either left or right.

I’m not sure yet whether the new stop signs will make carpool move more quickly, but I do believe they will help make the area safer and more orderly for everyone.

Our entry and exit patterns into and out of our school parking lots will stay the same. Left into the K/1 lot and right going out. Right into the Main lot and left going out.

For transparency, this change was requested by neighbors in the area, rather than by our school. The City has also requested that a police officer be present Monday to help monitor the transition. In addition, the City will be installing cameras to observe traffic flow and determine how the new traffic pattern is working.

As always, please be patient with one another as everyone adjusts to the new traffic pattern. Our shared goal is to keep our students, families, and staff safe. Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

EAST students are focusing on team building and getting to know each other. Their word of the year is "ownership," and they are learning to take accountability. To symbolize this, they are creating keys all about themselves! 🔑

💉 In-School Flu Clinic 😷

Each year, in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH), Roberts Elementary (along with other LRSD school districts) holds an in-school flu immunization clinic to provide the flu vaccine to their students.
