Rosedale Optimist Club

Today, on Optimist Day, a member from the Little Rock Rosedale club, along with several members of the Conway Morning club, got a tour of the Ronald McDonald House in Little Rock. Both clubs made a donation also. We learned a lot about their history in Little Rock.

We were finally able to meet last night. This weather’s been crazy. Speacial thanks to Lt. Government Marcia Wright and Rene Henderson from Conway Morning Optimist Club.

Longtime Flint Hills Optimist Club member Lisa Keith and her husband Brian were selected as Parade Marshals for this year’s Emporia Christmas Parade which was held December 2nd. They were chosen by the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce and Visit Emporia for their generosity, leadership, and community spirit.

At a recent meeting of the Junction City Breakfast Optimist Club Emily Brooks (center) was recognized as Student of the month. Emily is a junior at Junction City High School who represents the tenets of the Optimist Creed through her kindness and service to others. Emily is a straight A student who plans to pursue a career in law enforcement following high school.

Signups end next week for co-ed Youth Basketball 2026 at Dunbar, Stephens, Southwest, and West Central community centers!
We’ve got divisions for 3–4 year olds, 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U, with games played Monday–Thursday at 6:00 PM.

🎻 History in the making at Chicot Elementary and Early Childhood Center - LRSD! 🎶

Thanks to the Arnold Shultz Grant from the International Bluegrass Music Foundation, Chicot Elementary has formed a stringband, and these talented students are bringing bluegrass to the big stage this weekend! 🌟 They’ll be opening for Grammy Award Winner Dom Flemons at the Arkansas Stringband Festival in Springdale!
