Amar Kanekar, Professor for Health Education and Promotion and Chris Stewart, Discovery and Metadata Coordinator at the Ottenheimer Library, both use Open Education Resources because they provide diverse, up-to-date, and cost-effective resources while reducing costs, increasing equitable access, and enabling content customization.

As an Assistant Professor of Spanish, Elizabeth Sotelo "strives to implement open education resources in courses to ensure that all students, regardess of their financial background, have access to printed and visual materials while also minimizing the ecological footprint."

Katie Helms is an Associate Professor in Health, Human Performance, and Sport Management. She likes open education resources because they provide an opportunity to work with tools that students can take with them into their careers!

As the Academic Success Librarian at the Ottenheimer Library, Amie loves the "open movement because its primary goal is making education easier to access."

Dr. Tiffani Tijerina is an Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Writing. She "loves open educational resources for reducing student costs and enabling meaningful, lasting learning experiences." Her work has earned recognition, including an OE Award for Excellence in Open Reuse/Remix/Adaptation (2022) and an OE Award for Excellence in Open Practices (2025).
