UAMS Library

The UAMS Library will be closed May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. The ALC and 24/7 space will remain open for students through badge access.

Cold Spring Harbor Protocols is a database of research techniques for cell and molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics, protein science, and imaging. Protocols will be continuously expanded, updated, and annotated by the originators and users of the techniques.

It can be accessed by searching for it online or through the UAMS Library website under our A-Z Databases list.

Quick Tip: You can add RefWorks to both your Google and Word documents to easily insert and add citations into your research.

To install, navigate to RefWorks and then under Tools, click on the link to Extensions and Add-Ons and follow the instructions there.

OrthoSearch is a content discovery tool powered by a unique orthopaedic taxonomy. It brings together a wide range of orthopaedic content from specialty specific journals, general medicine, standards and guidelines, preprints, videos and podcasts in one place. OrthoSearch is free to use and can save time when researching for a paper, as it only brings up terms truly relevant to a search.

You can save websites to RefWorks by adding it to your favorites bar. On RefWorks, navigate to the Extension and Add-Ons located underneath Tools.

This does require that your favorites or bookmarks bar is visible. Depending on your device, if it is not there, you might need to right-click on the bar and select "Show bookmarks bar"

ChemSpider is a free chemical structure database providing access to over 25 million structures, properties and associated information.

It can be accessed by searching for it online or through the UAMS Library website under our A-Z Databases list.

Lexidrug is a point of care source for pharmacology and clinical information. Clinical applications include drug interactions, tablet and capsule identification, medical calculations and patient advisory leaflets.
