Families, this is a reminder that Parent-Teacher Conferences are today from 12:00–6:00 p.m. You can review your teacher’s schedule in Rooms. If you have questions about your appointment time, please call the school.

Translation services will be available. We hope every family takes advantage of this important opportunity to speak with teachers and learn about their student’s progress. We look forward to seeing you!

The district’s community meeting regarding the future of Watson Elementary begins at 1:00 p.m. today at Marion G. Lacy K-8 School.

We need our Watson families in the room! This is an important opportunity to show your support for Watson and make your voice heard as district leaders and Board members discuss the future of our school.

Come share what makes Watson unique, what our school means to your family, and why keeping Watson open matters to our students and our community.

If Watson matters to you, please make plans to be there at 1:00 p.m. today at Lacy K-8.

The Little Rock School District on Tuesday marked the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month with a celebration in Watson Elementary's cafetorium.

The district launched dual language immersion programs for groups of students at Watson and Chicot elementary schools for the 2026-27 school year, making it the first district in Arkansas to implement such programs. Both campuses are in southwest Little Rock, a region of the city home to large Hispanic and Latino populations.

Today is the day! 🎉 Join us at 1:15 PM as Watson hosts the Little Rock School District Hispanic Heritage Month Kickoff! 🌎🎶💃

We’ll celebrate culture, language, and learning with student performances, special guests, and a showcase of our Dual-Language Program. Students are encouraged to wear traditional attire representing their culture or country of origin.

Please review this week’s events at Watson. We especially invite our entire school community to join us for the Hispanic Heritage Month Opening Ceremony on Tuesday at 1:15 p.m.

Interim reports will also come home Tuesday. By now, you should have received an invitation to schedule your Parent-Teacher Conference, which will be held on Monday, September 21.
