📢 Watson Families Reminder

Our Watson Summer Enrichment Program began today and will continue this week and next week from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

We strongly encourage all students entering 2nd through 5th grade for the 2026–2027 school year to attend.

If your child did not attend today, they are still welcome to join us. Students may be dropped off starting at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow. No prior registration is required—we are accepting all students who would like to participate.

Arkansas DHS requires summer EBT recipients to reset PINs in response to reports of theft The Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) said on Saturday that it will require all summer EBT recipients to reset their PIN numbers that are associated with their cards.

📊✨ The LRSD Teaching and Learning Department has wrapped up its Math Model Classroom Teacher Cohort 1, launched last summer!

Participants from across the District were selected by building and district leaders in recognition of their leadership and impact. Throughout the cohort, teachers engaged in learning focused on high-impact instructional strategies and strengthening the math community in classrooms, all with the goal of improving math experiences for every learner across LRSD.

We celebrate the dedication and growth of these educator leaders as they continue to elevate math instruction throughout the District! 💡📚

Please take a moment to review the schedule of dates and times that was sent home. You should have also received a phone call and communication regarding bus pickup locations and times.

Today, the Watson Elementary family celebrates our resident sage, trusted advisor, and all-around go-to guy, Dr. Carter!

Our 5th graders officially said goodbye to elementary school and hello to their middle school journey. For many of these students, Watson has been home for the last six years — a place where they learned, grew, built friendships, discovered their talents, and became leaders. Watching them walk across the stage today was a proud moment for our entire Watson family.

Congratulations to the Watson Elementary Graduating Class of 2026! Your future is bright, and we know you will continue to carry The Watson Way wherever life takes you next.

A special thank you to our amazing 5th grade teachers — Mr. Gaddie, Mrs. Warford, and Ms. Hall — along with our staff, families, and community partners whose love, support, and dedication helped make this moment possible.
