Excited to serve the Baptist Health Little Rock MIHOW Department last week!

A team that lives out their mission while they are on the clock and off the clock. They provide wrap around services for mothers and babies. It was beautiful to see their "aha" moments as they experienced the Real Colors training, applying it to previous conversations with team members and family members. It was incredible to witness their quick application of what they were learning as I heard comments such as, "Now I know how to approach x, y, z situation with you! Would that be more helpful?"

The resounding answer: "Yes! Thank you!"

The culture in this department is honor, understanding, and compassion. From the Director, the value flowing down is, "take care of you so you can be your best." Boundaries can be a challenge when providing hands-on, needed services in the community, but they are necessary for sustaining the work and our wellness. I'm so proud of this team and the good work they are doing, internally and externally!

This year, Karisma Consulting has had the honor and privilege of walking with them through quarterly Leadership Retreats, providing professional development and program planning. We are excited to see the Program Plans come together as they initiate new programs and support current programming processes.

This team is gritty and resilient! Through changes, challenges, and new beginnings, they have chosen to go all in. What a blessing to observe their tenacity! They serve with compassion and excellence. They put their heart into all of the services they offer to those they serve.

This week during our Real Colors Consult (post-training), we took a deeper dive into each Real Color's needs as they relate to bringing their best self to the table, serving with excellence, and making the greatest impact. Of course, each color has similarities, but each also has unique distinctives. Beautiful moments of honesty, vulnerability, and openness.

One thing (of many) that I love about this Every Arkansan Inc. Fatherhood Team is that they truly see each other's hearts as they talk about the hard things. They choose in. They are family.

Real Colors is a tool to help teams work with excellence, honor, and impact!

Yesterday, I spent the morning with a wonderful team, serving them with Professional Development in this space.

Reflecting on the history of this place and so gateful for the forerunners who decided to make access, equality, and space for healing and reconciliation a priority in 1969!
What began as a Country Club that didn't allow people of all skin tones to have access, went to the Supreme Court because of two brave African American women. This property was then purchased by Second Baptist Church in downtown Little Rock and turned into a summer day camp for all children to have access!

Karisma Consulting has exciting news to share...

This summer, we have been dreaming with some friends and now our office suite is a part of something really special, including Deeper Still Central Arkansas and Step Up to Your Purpose. We are calling this space "The Lighthouse". Each ministry/business will have offices in this space, and together we share a vision to empower women in the place of prayer as they encounter God through His truth and His Spirit.

This is a safe, cozy space for you to come as you are, be refreshed and encouraged, and go out shining your light in our community.
