The first day of school is almost here! Here are the important events and opportunities happening this week.

📚 Thursday, August 6 | Incoming 6th Grade Orientation
🕠 5:30–7:00 PM

Incoming 6th graders and their families are invited to:
✅ Pick up tentative schedules
✅ Tour the campus
✅ Meet PHMS staff
✅ Learn everything you need to know before the first day of school

🏫 Friday, August 7 | 7th & 8th Grade Parent Campus Visitation
🕙 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

Parents can stop by to:

• Tour the campus (especially helpful for students new to PHMS)

Here are the important dates you'll want to save as we kick off another great year at Pulaski Heights Middle School!

📅 July 30–31 | Student & Parent Virtual Check-In
✔️ Complete your Virtual Check-In before school begins.
✔️ Every family should complete the LRSD Free & Reduced Lunch Application—even if you don't think you'll qualify. Completed applications help secure important federal funding that supports PHMS students and programs.

Incoming 6th graders are invited to meet classmates before school starts! Parents are welcome to attend.
🍕 Pizza and bottled water will be provided.

As we close out another amazing year at PHMS, we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to every parent, volunteer, teacher, staff member, student, and community supporter who helped make this year so special.

From Pantherfest and the Panther Prowl 5K to Teacher Appreciation Week, school dances, student celebrations, fundraisers, hospitality events, and everything in between, none of it would have been possible without your time, energy, generosity, and support.

Whether you volunteered for an hour, donated supplies, attended an event, sponsored a program, or simply cheered on our Panthers, you helped create memorable experiences for our students and staff.

We are excited to celebrate our PHMS 8th graders tomorrow at Allsop Park! Students will walk from school to the park for an afternoon of fun, food, and memories with friends before heading off to high school.

🎉 8th Grade Picnic – Volunteers & Donations Needed! 🌞🍕

Our PHMS 8th graders will celebrate the end of middle school with a fun afternoon at Allsop Park on Wednesday, May 20th! Students will walk from school to the park for food, games, and time with friends before heading off to high school.

We need your help to make this event special! 💚

✅ Donate snacks or supplies
✅ Volunteer during the picnic
✅ Contribute toward picnic expenses

🍕 We’ll be serving pizza, chips, and cookies for all students.

📦 Donation items should be dropped off at the front office by May 19th.

🥜✨ We wrapped up Teacher Appreciation Week at PHMS with the ultimate Build-Your-Own Trail Mix Bar! 🍿🍫

From sweet treats to salty snacks, our teachers got to mix up their perfect snack creations and enjoy a little extra appreciation for all they do each and every day. 💚

A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make this week so special for our amazing staff. Your support helped us celebrate the incredible teachers and staff who make PHMS such a great place! 🙌
