We offer hands-on learning adventures for all ages. Our "classrooms" are comprised of over 200 acres of forests, streams, fields and a 6 acre lake.
AOS is located west of Little Rock at the C.A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center. In this beautiful natural setting, we offer over 25 classes , from Archery to Stream Ecology; Birding and other field biology to Survival Skills. AOS can build the right program for your group or class, whether it is for the day, overnight or multi-day experience.
Mission: Our mission is to provide learners of all ages a positive outdoor education experience; to instill a lifelong appreciation, and sense of responsibility toward the natural world; and to assist participants in ultimately making informed environmental decisions. Through our experience-based activities, it is our intention to introduce participants to the 4-H Leadership Life Skills as interpreted through our mission: Learning about the natural world, communication through teamwork, conservation of our natural resources, exploring relationships to and within nature, understanding self, and decision making particularly with regard to understanding the environmental impact of our choices.
