Meet Eric Butler — the #1 top GED® scorer in the state of Arkansas for 2025 and a student at ASUMH - Adult Education Center!

But the real story is in these photos. That's his mother, Amanda Butler — a GED® Top 25 honoree herself from 2006. Nearly two decades later, they're standing on the same Capitol steps, holding the same award, with the whole family there to witness it.

This is what Arkansas Adult Education looks like. A mother who led the way, and a son who followed her example all the way to #1 in the state. 🏆

Congratulations, Eric — and the entire Butler family. Arkansas is proud of you all. 🎓

We want to congratulate Naliyah Flowers, a student at UAM-McGehee Adult Education, and the #21 top GED® scorer in the state of Arkansas for 2025.

Although Naliyah couldn't attend in person, her aunt — Arkansas State Senator Stephanie Flowers of Senate District 8 — was there to accept the award on her behalf.

Senator Flowers has spent decades championing education and opportunity for communities across Southeast Arkansas.

Congratulations, Naliyah. Your family — and your state — are proud of you. 🎓
