UALR's Gerontology Program offers a Graduate Certificate (18 credit hours) as well as individual undergraduate courses in Gerontology.

Caregiver's Expo
Thursday, November 10
Second Presbyterian Church
10 until 1 pm, lunch included at no cost for all registrants
Over 25 vendors will be present to share information about their services.
Keynote speaker is Donna Terrell of Fox 16 News, who cared for her daughter, Queah, who died of colon cancer.
A panel of experts in areas of nursing, palliative care, legal matters, and insurance will be present to answer questions.
The logo for the event suggests a patched quilt. Caregivers find that they have to piece together care for their loved ones from a variety of sources including family, friends, congregations, medical and social work communities. The purpose of this expo is assist caregivers in discovering some of the pieces of caregiving available in our community. Caregivers will leave with new knowledge, confidence, and suggestions on how to deal with issues of being a caregiver.
There is no cost to register for this event, but registration is needed to plan sufficient lunches. You may register by calling Second Presbyterian Church at 501-227-0000 or at www.secondpreslr.org.
