The book is filled with information about different animal species that inhabit the Galapagos Islands, and is told with humor and compassion. The book also contains two pages of "Fun Facts" describing what is unique about the animals who reside there, along with some conservation information.

I always wanted to be a marine biologist studying dolphins. Growing up in New York City by several beaches, I could have had the opportunity had I been more aware that I could actually be one. Instead, I graduated with a degree in French Literature from Queens College in NYC. The degree actually led to many interesting jobs, once I moved to Arkansas. My first job there was as a waitress in a small-town truck stop. After I got fired, I moved and joined the staff of the Arkansas Sun as a reporter, then editor. A few years later I moved to Little Rock where I became Legislative Information Officer for the Arkansas Senate, then Media Specialist for the Governor’s Office of Voluntary Citizen Participation, then Assistant Director of the Arkansas Endowment for the Humanities. I quit and set up a wholesale jewelry business specializing in handmade sterling silver from around the world, enabling me to travel to Bali, Indonesia, Mexico, Israel and the U.S. It was in Bali that I had a chance to express my love of animals when I visited the Sacred Monkey Forest and had several special experiences there. I began my freelance writing business six years ago, and pursued my great interest in animals and conservation by becoming a docent of the Little Rock Zoo. I handle a variety of educational animals – from ferrets and opossums to ball pythons, bearded dragons and birds of prey. I love to teach zoo visitors and participate in zoo outreach programs with the animals to schools, and local organizations. One day I sat down and wrote a children’s book about Bobby, a blue-footed b***y who got bullied, having been haunted for years by terrible bullying I witnessed as a child. In addition to being an author, I also offer freelance writing services on a number of specialized topics.
