We are sad to learn of the passing of Fr. John Oswald ‘54. Fr. Oswald taught at Catholic High in the 1960s-70s and was a favorite of many. May he rest in peace.

We are sad to share that Father John Oswald died Wednesday, June 10. He was 90 years old. This year he celebrated his 65th anniversary of priestly service. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 6 at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock. The rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. and burial at Calvary Cemetery in Little Rock.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. And let the perpetual light shine upon him. And may he and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Our Rockets in Europe today just happened to bump into an alumnus from the Class of ‘73 on the streets of Rome… he noticed the CH. They weren’t too far from Pope Leo as he cruised through on the Pope Mobile, and they also had CHS named in the roll call in St. Peter’s Square.

Congratulations to the five newly ordained priests in the Diocese of Little Rock! We would like to especially congratulate Fr. Chris Elser ‘18 (right) who is pictured with his brother Fr. Stephen Elser ‘09.

Another set of brothers who are priests. How many sets of diocesan priests in Arkansas can you name?

Rocket take on Europe! Our rising seniors enjoyed Mass at St. Patrick’s in Edinburgh, Scotland, with Fr. Ninian Doohan. Fun fact about Fr. Doohan… he climbed Mt. Everest.

In honor of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25th, we warmly invite all members of the Catholic High School family who are praying for, or thinking about a Veteran, to visit the statue. At the site, you will find a table with American flags that can be placed around the statue to honor your Veteran. Additionally, there will be a visitor's book where you can sign in and share information about yourself and the Veteran you are commemorating.
