The Little Rock School District is proud to introduce the first-ever cohort of LRSD L.E.A.D.S. (Leadership Development for Aspiring School Leaders), a new initiative designed to grow the next generation of principals, assistant principals, instructional lead teachers, and transformational school leaders from within. The inaugural cohort includes 15 educators from across LRSD who will begin this 10-month leadership journey this summer.

Congratulations to these outstanding educators as they prepare to lead with purpose, strengthen school communities, and help shape the future of LRSD. 👏

Attached to this document are the forms that need to be filled out and uploaded to DragonFly Max to participate in Summer Workouts. Prior to the first workout session on June 9th, ALL forms must be completed and uploaded to DragonFly Max. This is a standard requirement for all Fall Season athletes. Our schedule for the months of June & July will also be attached.
During summer workouts, athletes will improve their overall skills (drills, plays, footwork, etc.) along with conditioning, strengthening, and endurance. For each workout, the athlete must have the following:
● Athletic clothing
● Tennis shoes
● Cleats (specifically on Thursday’s)
Since it is summer time, us coaches understand that vacations, camps, and other events may occur. Summer workouts are not mandatory but are recommended. These workouts will focus on getting in shape before the season and learning the basics of the playbook as well. We understand that during summer vacations typically have prior obligations but if possible, please inform the coaches if the athlete cannot attend any workouts. The exact dates will be listed on the calendars attached. Summer workouts will only be on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, and Thursday’s.
At this time, transportation will not be provided (i.e. no buses). It is at the parent/caregiver’s discretion to drop off and pick up their athlete. We understand this can cause stress for the family, but the coaches will ensure the athlete stays caught up and up to speed when they can workout. If they are unable to attend any summer workouts, they will get all of the information once school starts in August.
Please join our team's SportsYou group (document attached) whether your child will attend summer workouts or not. This is the coaches way to update parents/caregivers of workouts and understand what is happening within our football program.
