Good morning,

I just want to keep everyone informed and provide a heads-up regarding potential delays with school-to-home transportation this afternoon due to athletics.

Some buses may arrive at their assigned schools later than normal. We anticipate that all affected buses will arrive at the schools no later than 4:30 PM to begin their school-to-home routes.

I wanted to communicate this in advance, so everyone is aware of the potential delay. I will provide real-time updates if anything changes or if we experience any additional delays.

💚💛 Green & Gold Dance — Event Update! 💛💚

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we rescheduled the Green & Gold Dance following the widespread power outage. We’re excited to announce that the dance will now be held on October 2, 2026

Previously purchased tickets will be honored at the rescheduled event. If you lost your ticket, no worries! We have a list of everyone who purchased tickets.

Didn’t get a ticket? Tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $5.

👕 Dress Code

Dress is casual, but all students must follow the LRSD dress code.

We would love for all parents and guardians of our 2nd and 3rd-grade students to join us tonight, September 23rd, at 5:30 PM in the FHSA Cafeteria. This evening is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our school community, discover what your child will be learning this year, and stay informed on key grade-level updates, grading systems, and available family resources. We encourage you to bring any questions you may have for our parent Q&A session—we are excited to partner with you and look forward to seeing you there!

🍋🏖️ Building Big Dreams in Kindergarten! 🏖️🍋

Our FHSA Kindergarteners just kicked off their very first building project… and the creativity is already off the charts!

Some of our little architects decided a lemonade stand is the perfect way to beat the heat (and serve up smiles).

Others are hard at work designing a shady beach shelter so everyone can stay cool under the sun.

We’re so proud of these tiny builders and can’t wait to see their finished masterpieces.

FHSA will host a flu clinic on October 8, 2026, in the gymnasium from 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 am. Flu packets were sent home today with students. All flu forms will need to be returned to the school nurse by October 2nd, 2026. Please email Nurse [email protected] if you have any questions.

Go FHSA! 🏐🔥

Huge congrats to our 4th-5th grade girls volleyball team on a fantastic win over Roberts today!!

They took it in straight sets: 15-11, 15-13 and are undefeated!💪

Also a big shout out for our 8th grade girls who remain undefeated, and our 7th grade team that’s only lost one match this season!

Awesome job, girls — proud of the fight and teamwork across the board! Keep shining! 🌟

Forest Heights STEM Academy jumped +49 points while remaining a B; our highest point total in the last three years! 📈

The grade may be the same, but the growth tells the story. Our Eagles are soaring higher than ever! 🦅💚💛
