The inaugural class of LCSDM is finishing up their first year by giving back to our community. Hard to follow that but our Class of 2029 is up for the task!!

A milestone moment for health care education in Arkansas!

Lyon College officially celebrated the grand opening of the Lyon College School of Dental Medicine Patient Care Clinic on May 20 in Little Rock. The new clinic will provide high-quality, affordable dental care while giving future dentists hands-on experience serving communities across the state.

This exciting addition reflects Lyon College’s commitment to improving access to care and preparing the next generation of health care professionals to make a difference.

Smiles, service, and teamwork in action!

Lyon College School of Dental Medicine students and faculty were proud to volunteer this week at the Special Olympics Arkansas 2026 Summer Games, providing oral exams and helping athletes get properly fitted for mouth guards. We’re honored to support these incredible athletes and promote healthy smiles both on and off the field!

Lyon College on Wednesday opened the Lyon College School of Dental Medicine Patient Care Clinic at 5 Allied Drive in Little Rock, expanding dental education and access to care in Arkansas.

“The opening of our patient care clinic represents an important step forward for our school and for the communities we serve,” said Dr. Burke Soffe, founding dean of the Lyon College School of Dental Medicine. “This clinic reflects our mission to educate outstanding dental professionals while providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients across Arkansas.”

During the event, Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. announced a partnership supporting patient assistance funding. President Melissa Taverner said the clinic strengthens care access and student training.

Services at the clinic include cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, dentures, implants and digital imaging.
