Gideon opened in Little Rock in 2004. Our initial programming was also supplemental tutoring in math and reading. Parents brought their children to Gideon for educational enrichment. However, after the first year, it became apparent that some students needed more than just supplemental help and Gideon began offering multisensory instruction to help those students. According to the International Dyslexia Association and the Learning Disabilities Association of America, Dyslexia is the most common cause of reading, writing, and spelling difficulties. About 20% of the population has a learning disability with 70-80% of those deficits being in reading. In addition to the main programs, Little Rock also offers ACT Prep and subject based, general tutoring. Bryant: 2012

In early 2012, Gideon opened a second branch in Bryant, AR to service the surrounding areas. As Little Rock grew, it became apparent that the community desire for educational support reached much further thus the center was opened to accommodate an extended area.
