🐯 As we begin a new school year, please join us in welcoming Mrs. April Rike as the new Principal of Little Rock Central High School!
Mrs. Rike is a proud Little Rock native, a 1993 graduate of Little Rock Central High School, and a lifelong advocate for public education. Her connection to Central spans generations. Her grandfather graduated from Central in the late 1930s, she taught at the school from 2003 to 2011, and all three of her children are proud graduates of Little Rock Central High School. For Mrs. Rike, leading and serving Central is both a professional honor and a deeply personal calling.
With more than two decades in education, Mrs. Rike has dedicated her career to helping students realize their potential while supporting teachers in creating engaging, rigorous learning experiences. She believes every student deserves access to high-quality instruction, meaningful relationships, and opportunities that prepare them for success beyond high school.
Mrs. Rike is committed to honoring Central's remarkable legacy while ensuring future generations of Tigers have the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Here's to a wonderful first day of school and an incredible year ahead. Welcome, Mrs. Rike, and welcome back, Tigers!
