Most companies now call AI literacy a baseline skill, not a nice-to-have. Most training programs still stop at level one.

AI literacy isn't a single skill. It's five, stacked, and most teams only ever reach the bottom rung.

Level 1: Prompting with real intent. Knowing what outcome you actually want before you type anything. Most training stops here.

Level 2: Context and templates. Feeding AI your tone, your standards, your examples, so the output sounds like you instead of a generic chatbot.

Level 3: Repeatable workflows. Turning a good prompt into a process your whole team can run the same way twice.

Level 4: Connection across tools and teams. Getting your AI work to talk to your other systems, instead of living in one browser tab.

Level 5: Building and governing. Systems that act on their own, with a human accountable for what they do.

Most organizations are stuck between one and two, and don't know it. That gap is exactly what shows up as wasted budget and stalled pilots.

On August 26, Jen Seregos walks through all five levels and helps you place your own team on the ladder.

IBM asked 2,000 CEOs if their AI initiatives delivered the ROI they expected.
25% said yes.

That's not a tools problem. It's a labeling problem.

Most teams only know one side of AI: automation, where the machine runs the task end to end and a human isn't required.

They miss the other side entirely. Augmentation, where AI drafts, researches, and recommends, and a person makes the final call.

One replaces you.
One backs you up.
Mixing up which job needs which is where that 75% goes.

Jen Seregos and Nathaniel Reagan are showing what both look like with real case studies, live on August 26.

Same meeting notes, two completely different systems.
One where a person drives every step;
One where the AI starts on its own and a person catches it before it goes out.

Nathaniel runs the first version at AI Learning Labs: the tools get his tone, his brand, and a guide for how the notes should read, but every step starts with him.

Jen Seregos runs the second: her assistant is already synthesizing mid-meeting, then routes to her chief of staff agent, then to her phone for review.
She never opens her inbox.

Different systems. Same rule underneath: nothing goes to a client without a human checking it first.

On August 26, Jen and Nathaniel are showing exactly how each system works, live, so you can see which one your team actually needs.

Most organizations spent the last two years pouring budget into AI without a clear picture of what they were trying to accomplish.
That's not a tools problem, that's a clarity problem.

Augmentation and automation are two sides of the same coin.
Most leaders don't know which their next project really needs, or when to move from one to the other.

That's exactly what Jen Seregos and Nathaniel Reagan are unpacking on August 26, with the real work behind it: automations Jen's built inside small and mid-sized organizations, and augmentation work Nathaniel and his students have shipped with Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini.

Bring a real project & Get their honest read on it, live.

Every AI budget starts with an assumption: does this job need a person watching it, or a rule that never changes?

Get that wrong, and organizations either automate something that needed judgment, or spend months manually doing what should've been instant.

Most don't find out they guessed wrong until the rollout stalls, or worse, until it's already live and nobody's checking it.

On August 26, Jen Seregos and Nathaniel Reagan are bringing the real projects behind this.

Not slides, not theory: actual automations Jen's built inside small and mid-sized organizations, and actual augmentation work Nathaniel and his students have shipped with Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini. You'll see what they built, what worked, and what they'd skip if they started over.

Then it's your turn. Bring a real project and get their live read on how they'd approach it.

"What used to live in my notes is now becoming a real business, and we're only in week three."

Meet Eileen Naomi, a student in our AI Learning Labs bootcamp.

She joined thinking she'd learn prompts and tool hacks. Instead, every week she got asked the same question: what are you trying to create?

For her, that was Eunoia Events, a project she'd been carrying around in her head for months.

Three weeks in, she's used AI to build her landing page, client journey, workflows, surveys, SOPs, and the concept for a future app.

Her biggest takeaway wasn't a new tool. It was learning to use AI intentionally: organize her thinking, make decisions faster, and actually move the project forward instead of getting overwhelmed by everything she wanted to build.

If you've got a project you've been sitting on for months, maybe this is your sign.

"I was afraid AI was going to make my brain dumber. Now I'm on the other side of that."

Meet Alejandro. He teaches theater at college and runs his own theater company. Like a lot of creative people, he went into AI training worried it would flatten his thinking, not sharpen it.

Here's what he told us after: he feels more capable, more ready for the hard work ahead, and more in control of his own process, not less.

What stuck with him most was the balance we teach: yes, use AI ethically, but also use it to actually get things done. You have to be smart to use AI well.

If you've been holding back because you're worried about what AI might cost you creatively, Alejandro's story is worth five minutes.

Almost everyone on your team is already using AI, the question is whether you know about it.

The data on shadow AI is clear: most employees are using tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini at work, with or without permission.

If you're a manager, pretending that isn't happening is the risk, not the tools themselves.

Personal AI accounts don't carry the same data protections as an enterprise plan.
So the real move isn't blocking the tools, it's giving your team access, setting a policy, and knowing what's actually going on with your data.

That's the resourcing question we're getting into at our next Imagine the Future of Work session: vendor, contractor, or your own team trained to do it right, once you know what you're protecting.

Organizations are investing heavily in AI but most can't say where the value is actually landing.

The biggest gains aren't coming from the massive systems leadership paid for instead they're coming from employees quietly using Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini on their own to do their work better.

So maybe the question isn't "how much are we investing in AI." It's "do we know where AI is creating value for our people."

That's exactly the conversation we're continuing in our next Future of Work Monthly Forum: real case studies, real outputs, and what leaders should be paying attention to before they spend more.
