♟️ Chess Club registration is now open!

Chess Club is open to all Valorous Academy K-12th graders, whether your student is brand new to chess or already knows their way around the board.

Chess Club will meet on Wednesdays from 3:00-4:00pm to practice, play friendly matches, and prepare students who are interested in competing in SCISA’s chess tournaments (also open to K-12th).

The first meeting will be Wednesday, August 26, so sign up soon!

💙 What an amazing first week of school!

We’ve loved seeing our students settle back in, from our preschoolers building towers, enjoying the playground, and learning together at circle time, to our older students brainstorming with classmates, building their reading skills, studying Scripture, working through math problems, starting friendships, and jumping into science.

🎉💙 First day of school for our K-12th graders!

Thank you to the North Myrtle Beach Police Department for welcoming our students this morning! We saw so many smiles as everyone headed into their classrooms for the first day.

Congratulations to Jocelyn and James for being able to recite the four school values at Secondary Orientation this morning (and winning Chick-fil-A meal cards), and thank you to Nelson and Cora for starting the day off strong with announcements!

Valorous Academy's official Advanta Uniforms online store is now open! Families can conveniently purchase approved uniforms before the school year begins.

Advanta Uniforms will begin serving families at 4:00pm on Monday, August 10th, two hours before Family Orientation officially begins. Arrive early to avoid lines, receive sizing assistance, and complete shopping before Orientation starts.

Reminder: bottoms are NOT required to be purchased from the Advanta online store.

On the Advanta store, click on Spirit Wear to view the currently available t-shirt selection. These are still permitted for day-to-day wear!

All orders placed through the online store will be shipped after Orientation. They will not be available for pickup at Orientation. Because the first day of school is Wednesday, August 12, we recommend arriving early to Orientation to purchase items.

If you are unable to attend Family Orientation and cannot make a uniform purchase in person, place your order now and have your student wear a plain black, white, gray, or blue t-shirt until their uniform tops arrive.

🦺 AAA SCHOOL SAFETY PATROL

Students in 4th-12th grade are invited to apply for the Valorous Academy Safety Patrol! Patrollers assist during arrival and dismissal while developing leadership, responsibility, and traffic-safety skills.

Students must maintain good behavior and attendance and be mature, reliable, respectful, and able to follow directions.

📄 Applications will be available at Family Orientation and from the school office, and must be returned to the school office by Wednesday, August 19.

📅 Required Orientation: Friday, August 21 at 8:00am.
🚦 Observation and training begin the week of August 24.
