Your cue should create the angle of the shot before you ever go down to shoot it. Set the cue at the angle you believe will produce the shot, then get down and execute.

If you undercut it, set the exact same shot back up and adjust your cue angle. If you overcut it, do the same thing and adjust the opposite way. Don’t just move on to another shot, this is how to develop FEEL for the angles and shots.

You have to train your body to recognize and create angles, not depend entirely on your eyes. That takes repetition and awareness.
And I just gave you one of the most valuable practice tips there is:

When you miss a shot, set it back up and shoot it again.

Don’t waste the miss—that’s
where some of your best learning takes place. Eventually your body starts recognizing the correct angle automatically, and that’s when shotmaking becomes more instinctive.

Let's think:

If two Skill level 4's play an 8ball match. It goes hill-hill.

So, 7 total games occurred.

An average amateur player takes about one second to go from "set" to "impact" during their stroke.
( A high level player and Professoinal average about 2 seconds )

So, if one player take around 50 total shots in this match,,,,,,,how much time was used while actually stroking?

Answer: About 50 seconds.

Total match time: About 1.25 hours.

So.......what were the player's minds doing while they were not actually stroking?

We are still alive heading into the weekend.

9:00 am match in the morning.

Hi guys.

Im currently in Las Vegas with my team.

In the final weeks of our session, a couple of my teammates went up in skill level. ......which basically eliminated me from being able to play due to the 23 rule.

But they have my support, and im still able to coach, and offer help during time outs.

Entering Day 3 at 2:00pm.

CALM is the best advice I can offer at these events.
