It’s been a fun couple of weeks in Mrs. Markkanen’s kindergarten! We finished out unit on nutrition by making personal pizzas and toasted with apple juice right before Thanksgiving! We came back to R week and rolled Tenzie dice! The kids love to play this game even for free time. This week for C week we jumped over a candlestick! And one of favorite times of each day is our advent wreath prayer right after recess.

Thank you to Parent and School for the new mass shirts. What a beautiful day to wear them as we honor Mary on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Everybody looked great.

Sirry for the late post. Mrs. Swenson's class learned about the virtue of gratitude. Then last week they talked about ways to give thanks to God. The students made turkey 🦃 hats and wrote 3 things that they are thankful for!

We head quite a week in Mrs.Markkanen's kindergarten class!!! We started out celebrating Children's book week by reading Jan Brett's Gingerbread Baby book. We made our own gingerbread baby to eat for snack but our friend, Mrs. Gesme, opened the oven before the 8 minutes were up and he RAN AWAY!!!! He sent us notes from all over the world but he finally came back on the train on Thursday!
We finished our Baptism unit by acting out a classroom Baptism in the chapel.
And on Friday we celebrated the 50th day of school by getting 50's hair do's and having a bubble gum chewing contest, root beer floats, and a dance party!!!!
