It's been a STEM-tastic year in LEISD 🎉

When Clark the Shark needed help calming down… our 2nd graders became engineers!

Rhonda Donaldson is the STEM Influencer at Prestwick. Her goal has been to deepen intentional integration of STEM across reading, writing, and science. She wanted STEM to feel purposeful — not an “extra,” but embedded within literacy and inquiry. To support this vision, the 2nd grade team designed cross-curricular STEM projects that aligned academic standards across content areas.
This is what STEM looks like in Little Elm ISD — literacy, empathy, engineering, and teamwork all in one lesson.
