🎾 Last weekend, Mrs. Landis and Dr. Carter traveled to the 2026 US Open in New York to celebrate Mrs. Landis’s 2026 USTA 35x35 President’s Impact Award!

As part of the celebration, they joined fellow award recipients for Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day, enjoyed the President’s Suite, watched the Savannah Bananas put a tennis twist on baseball, and saw the world’s top players — including Women’s No. 1-ranked Aryna Sabalenka — in action during practice.

Reflecting on the honor, Melissa shared:

💙 Please join us in welcoming two new members to the Linden Hall family: Ms. Milly Chu and Mr. Brian Hines!

🎓 Ms. Chu, a proud Linden Hall alumna from the Class of 2021, joins us as our College Placement Coordinator & Wellness Counselor. With degrees from Rutgers University and the University of Pennsylvania, she is excited to return to Linden Hall and support students in their academic, personal, and college journeys.

🏐 Mr. Hines joins us as our Health & Wellness and Physical Education Teacher. A former NCAA Division III basketball player and current Linden Hall Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach, he is passionate about helping students build confidence, healthy habits, and leadership skills.

📚💙 The first day of school is here! A special welcome to our newest Linden Hall girls, as well as a warm welcome back to our returning students!

💙 This afternoon, we officially opened the 2026–2027 school year with Convocation & Lotus Walk, bringing the Linden Hall community together for a celebration of new beginnings.

Convocation featured inspiring musical performances and speeches from students, senior class mentors, Dr. Carter, and others, along with our cherished flag ceremony that celebrated the rich diversity of our international student body.

🌸 Afterward, our community gathered at the courtyard fountain for Lotus Walk — a beloved Linden Hall tradition in which students pass lotus flowers to the senior class, who place them in the fountain to symbolize the exchange of wisdom across generations.

The day concluded with the ringing of the school bell, officially marking the beginning of the new academic year. We’re ready to ELEVATE Linden Hall!

🙌 Happy Orientation Day! With all our girls back on campus, we kicked off the day with an early morning assembly, practicing cheers, singing the Alma Mater, and hearing a welcome address from Dr. Carter.

The girls then jumped into games, as well as attended their first class meetings and advisory sessions of the year. It’s so amazing to have everyone back, and we can’t wait for the first day of classes next week!

😃 Welcome Home! Campus is buzzing with excitement today as we welcome back familiar faces and meet the newest members of our LH community.

Our mascot, Lindy the Lion, was eager to greet families and make sure everyone felt right at home.

Many thanks to our Parents’ Association for hosting an afternoon of community fun, complete with ice cream, yard games, and plenty of opportunities to connect and get to know one another.

🎾🏆 Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Melissa Landis, Linden Hall’s Finance Director, Varsity Tennis Coach, and Adaptive Tennis Program Director, on being named a 2026 United States Tennis Association 35x35 President’s Impact Award winner!

The award honors just 35 individuals and organizations nationwide who have made a significant impact on tennis over the past two years, particularly through grassroots efforts that grow the sport, expand access, and inspire new players.

Melissa embodies this mission through her work coaching Linden Hall’s tennis players and leading our adaptive tennis program, helping make the game more accessible and meaningful to athletes of all abilities.

Congratulations, Ms. Landis, on this well-deserved national recognition!
