✨ VPK Learning & Growing Together! ✨

Our VPK friends have been busy learning and having fun together! 💙🩷 This week, we practiced recognizing and writing our names, explored capital and lowercase letters, and spent time learning all about “Myself” through fun Getting to Know You activities. ✏️🔤

We also created special handprint projects 🖐️🎨 and enjoyed building friendships, playing, and learning more about each other along the way! We love watching our little learners grow more confident every day! 🌟

📞🧶 Cup & String Telephones! 🎶✨

Today, we became little scientists In Suite 450 and made our own telephones using cups and yarn! 📞 The preschoolers had so much fun talking to their friends across the table and even across the room, listening carefully as their voices traveled from one cup to the other. 🗣️👂

We discovered that when we talk into the cup, our voices create vibrations that travel through the stretched string and into the other cup, allowing our friends to hear us! 🔊🧶

Through this hands-on experiment, we learned that sound travels through vibrations, while also practicing communication, listening, turn-taking, and curiosity through scientific exploration. 🧠✨

Our little scientists had a blast talking, listening, and discovering how sound works! 💕📞

🧠🎨 Building Our Brains! ✂️✨

Today, our little scientists continued learning about the brain! The children colored the two halves of the brain, carefully cut out their pieces, and then assembled them together to create a whole brain. 🧠🎨✂️

As we worked, we explored the different lobes of the brain and learned that each area has special jobs that help our bodies think, move, learn, remember, and understand the world around us.

This hands-on activity also helped us practice fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, following directions, and identifying the different parts of the brain. 🌟

We had so much fun creating our very own brains while learning how amazing our brains really are! 💕🧠

Throughout the year, we will send home Scholastic Book Club flyers featuring books for a variety of ages and interests.
When you are ready to order, simply visit our school ordering page and shop online, ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE THROUGH ONLINE ONLY. After our school order is submitted, books typically arrive at school within approximately 10 days.
By reading together at home and participating in Scholastic Book Clubs, we can work together to help children become confident, enthusiastic, and independent readers!

☀️🏫 Silly Sam stopped by our classrooms to bring lots of smiles, laughter, movement, and MUSIC! 🎤🥁🎵

Our kiddos had so much fun singing, dancing, exploring instruments, and learning all about the wonderful world of music. We love when learning comes with a little silliness! 💙🎶
