I’m so grateful to do this work!

We’re proud to share that Dr. Cassandra Bolar, NAACFRC Co-Investigator, and researchers from Fathers Incorporated published their work on JSTOR on the experiences and needs of some of Atlanta’s nonresidential fathers in child welfare! 👏

The findings highlight these dads’ capacity to contribute meaningfully to their families and communities — especially when systems offer support. We’re grateful to the dads who shared their stories and our collaborators at Fathers Incorporated.

If you have relationship goals for therapy, you want to ensure that the therapeutic process does not center your needs at the expense of everyone else’s. A balanced approach is needed that brings your needs to the table while also challenging you to see how you impact the entire system of your most treasured relationships and how you can make changes. Couples therapy is truly dealing with about 10 things at once, and all of those caring elements are valid.

I’m really a teacher at heart, and I’m simply trying to live, embody, and share the message that God has given for relationships with love, conviction, practicality, and grace.

May you be encouraged in knowing that every effort you are making to love, apply grace, humble yourself, and lead with kindness are being noted by heaven.

You are creating treasures for your family and eternal treasures in heaven.

Just remember that the love you give matters.

The compassion you give matters.

Heaven is keeping a record, and may your efforts to give unconditional love impact your most treasured relationships and everyone around you!

Longevity starts with a healthy foundation and a decisive decision to move forward with marriage.

This isn’t a post to bring shame, but it’s an effort to help you develop an effective strategy for lifelong love in marriage.

According to the research, living together prior to marriage may actually work against lasting love.

It feels logical. “It’s like a test drive before marriage.” But people aren’t cars, and marriage isn’t a return policy.

The truth is sliding into cohabitation without clarity can quietly erode the very foundation you’re trying to build.

Research shows that couples who decided, with intention to get married, had stronger relationships than those who just slid into the next step.

So before you move forward, or move on…Pause. Have the conversation. Choose each other on purpose. Share this with someone who could benefit.💝

Kindness is not a weakness.

Hardness/abrasiveness doesn’t soften the hard issues in a relationship. It only amplifies them.

Only warmth can melt coldness.

Not only is kindness not a weakness, but it is one of the most powerful ways to breakdown the walls of disconnection.

Kindness preserves the life of your true personality and character.

Kindness is an expression of love in its truest form.

Kindness looks good on you, and it makes your relationships look better.

It takes strength to stand in the grace of kindness in a broken world that desperately needs your unique warmth.

As we walk more and more in the laws of kindness, we will find more and more joy, grace, and peace.💝

They’re afraid of disappointment, not divorce. Of wasting time. Of getting it wrong.
That’s why so many people are skipping marriage altogether. From a Kingdom perspective, this is very troubling.

This is about disillusionment and the culture that has been created around commitment.

The numbers don’t quite tell the full story. There’s a heart posture behind the numbers that tells a more powerful story.

Too many of us think marriage is just a personal choice.
It’s bigger than that, it’s about our roots, our stability, our future.

What do you think it will take to rebuild?

Dating is an important data gathering process for one of the most important decisions of your life. God wants us to enjoy this process, but He doesn’t want us to position how we navigate relationships above His principles and truth.

When we elevate a relationship with someone above our walk with Christ, it will lead to compromise and heartbreak.

For my dating sisters, which one of these silent heartbreaks do you feel God is calling you to surrender today?
