🌍✈️ Our students had an exciting adventure exploring cultures from around the world!

As part of our cultural learning activities, we enjoyed a delicious field trip to the China Buffet, where students experienced new foods and traditions. 🇨🇳

Back at the center, our little learners got creative by making beautiful paper lanterns, worked together to stack cups into their own version of the Eiffel Tower, and even sampled gummy bears from Germany! 🇫🇷🇩🇪

Learning about different cultures helps children build curiosity, appreciation, and kindness toward others. We love creating hands-on experiences that make learning fun and memorable!

🌎❤️ At Lily Pad Learning Center, we’re helping our students discover the wonderful world around them—one adventure at a time!

🌾✨ A few weeks ago, our School Age friends had the wonderful opportunity to visit Leetham Family Farm, owned by one of our amazing employees and her family!

The children had such a great time holding a bunny, cuddling kittens, seeing a beautiful peacock, visiting the chickens, and meeting the friendly donkeys. It was a morning full of hands-on learning, smiles, and memories they’ll cherish.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our employee and her family for opening your farm to our students and creating such a fun and educational experience. We are so grateful for your generosity, hospitality, and for sharing a special part of your lives with our Lily Pad families. ❤️

🚜 A huge THANK YOU to the Pastrovich Family Farm for taking the time to bring your tractors to visit our Preschool and School Age classes today! Our children had such a wonderful opportunity to see the tractors up close, ask questions, and learn more about the important role farming plays in our community.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our local farmers. Your hard work, dedication, and long hours help feed our families and communities every single day. We appreciate everything you do, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to teach our children about the importance of agriculture.

Thank you again, Pastrovich Family Farm, for making this such a memorable day! 🌾🚜💚

🇺🇸 Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday Begins at Lily Pad! 🇺🇸

To help kick off the USA’s 250th birthday celebration, our Lily Pad students spent an unforgettable morning learning about the people and places that help keep our community and our country running every day.

Our first stop was the local post office, where students met with the Postmaster and learned how a letter travels from the mailbox all the way to its final destination. 📬

Next, we visited the Mayor’s office at City Hall, where Mayor Flemming, dressed as George Washington, and Alderman Hughes, dressed as Thomas Jefferson, brought history to life! Students learned about our nation’s Founding Fathers, the different levels of government—city, state, and federal—and how city council meetings help make decisions that impact our community. We also learned that every city council meeting begins with the Mayor leading the Pledge of Allegiance, and our students had the honor of standing with Mayor Flemming to recite the pledge together. It was a special moment that connected history, patriotism, and civic responsibility in a way they will always remember.

The morning continued with special tours of our police department and fire station. Our students had the opportunity to meet the dedicated first responders who work tirelessly every day to protect and serve our community. Seeing their equipment, learning about their jobs, and hearing firsthand about the important role they play made for an experience our students won’t soon forget. 🚔🚒

A heartfelt thank you to our Postmaster, Mayor Flemming, Alderman Hughes, our police officers, firefighters, and everyone who took time out of their day to invest in our children. Experiences like these help inspire the next generation while teaching them the importance of citizenship, community, and service.

❤️🤍💙 Happy 250th Birthday, America! What a wonderful way to begin celebrating our nation’s rich history and bright future!
