We have been sending lots of lick tubs full of produce to the schools and are starting to run low. If anyone has some they would like to donate to us, we would appreciate it!

Loup County public school is another farm to school partnership we started this year. They were down Wednesday morning for their first time and we shucked sweet corn with them and harvested melons and cucumbers. The students enjoyed the visit. They were hard working respectful students and we enjoyed working with them and look forward to their next visit in a couple of weeks!

Through the farm to school program, this year we have partnered with Ord for the first time and yesterday was their first visit. We are starting to harvest a lot of produce this season. To help support the larger harvest of sweet corn, Mr. Johnson from Litchfield brought a class down to help with the process. Ord was able to take enough corn, watermelon and other vegetables to feed their elementary, St. Mary's and high school students and staff.

We planted a short row of pickling cucumbers. We will have small amounts available from time to time. Right now we have 8 lbs available if anyone would want them. If you want some in the future, send us a message and we'll put your order together for you.

A lot of our watermelons are ripening. Mr. Johnson from Litchfield brought a couple of young men from his Junior class down to help us bring them from the field to the shop. We brought 16 lick tubs (about 2,000 lbs) of melons in! They are currently scheduled to go to Ord, Loup County and Litchfield public schools next week.
