Check out this incredible event some GMS students participated in over the summer! The event was sponsored by Breakthrough, the company that the district contracts for our BCBA services, and their founders, Brendan Hoffman and Ruth Ellen Verock. Thank you to Emily Letourney, the visionary behind the artwork, and Tara Coakley. Both worked to ensure that the students had fun while working on their goals over the summer. Some of the skills targeted in these projects were building vocabulary and communication skills, fine motor and coordination skills, as well as math through shapes and counting legs and eyes. In addition to the art, the students communicated how the art project made them feel through all modes of communication. Thank you Brendan and Ruth Ellen for giving these students an opportunity to shine! We’re so proud of our GMS students!
