Room to Grow

ROOM TO GROW WILL REOPEN ON MAY 13TH

The following additional precautions will be in place to satisfy the requirements of the Office of Early Childhood and Governor’s office.

Staff will wear masks; parents/guardians will wear masks when dropping off and picking up.

Upon arriving, the children will remain in their car while their parent takes their temperature in the presence of a staff member. Any child with symptoms of contagious illness or a temperature of 100+ degrees will not be allowed to enter our facility.

Room To Grow has three separate entrances; all three entrances will be utilized so children are not walking through other classrooms. Parents will es**rt their child to these entrances where a teacher will greet them (the reverse will happen at the end of the day).

The parents will not clock in/out for the time being. This will be done by our director or other staff member.

The regulations state, “No more than ten children will be in any room at one time even if there are half walls, half doors or other physical barriers within such room separating groups of children.” This will limit our allowable numbers of children. Initially we will only be able to serve 28 children at any one time, instead of our original license capacity of 74. Our allowable numbers will normalize in the future as restrictions are eased or if we make alterations to our facility.

Our restricted groups of children will be configured as follows:

10 - School Age Program

10 - Preschool Program

8 - Infant/Toddler/Two Program

Groups of children will remain in their separate classrooms while in attendance and will not come in contact with other groups of children.

Staffing patterns will minimize movement of staff between groups of children throughout the day.

Enhanced cleaning will be performed throughout the day.

SCHOOL-AGE PROGRAM

Internet access is available so the children can continue with their Facilitated Distance Learning. Parents will provide a notebook computer and headphones or earbuds.
