June 1st through the 4th, LLCC and SCI hosted a "Try a Trade Camp" for students coming into 8th grade, or outgoing to 9th. The camp was open to students from SCI's 9 regional schools(Bunker Hill, Carlinville, Gillespie, Hillsboro, Litchfield, Mt. Olive, Nokomis, Panhandle, Staunton).

Students were able to tour Ronco's Tire and Wheel, try their hand at leveling to prepare to pour concrete, tour the construction site at Staunton High School, and even got to explore the inside of a welding booth and work on a welding project.

SCI loves being able to create opportunities for students to explore different careers and get excited about the trades!
